**The Role:** Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will leverage extensive experience of Lean Six Sigma to lead complex manufacturing initiatives, drive innovation, and optimize production processes. This role involves advanced process planning, design for manufacturability, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies. The engineer will champion continuous improvement, enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the highest standards of product quality.
Responsibilities:
Project Management
+ Lead strategic manufacturing projects from concept to completion.
+ Develop and manage detailed project timelines and deliverables.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally to align project goals with business objectives.
+ Provide regular updates and risk assessments to senior leadership.
Lean Six Sigma & Process Improvement
+ Apply Lean Six Sigma Black Belt methodologies to identify and eliminate waste.
+ Lead Kaizen events, DMAIC projects, and root cause analyses.
+ Conduct process audits and implement data-driven improvements.
+ Mentor and train team members in Lean Six Sigma principles.
Material Flow Optimization
+ Analyze and optimize end-to-end material flow across manufacturing operations to reduce waste and improve throughput.
+ Design and implement systems that ensure timely and efficient movement of materials from suppliers through production to finished goods.
+ Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, and production teams to streamline inventory management and minimize bottlenecks.
+ Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools to identify inefficiencies in material handling and implement corrective actions.
+ Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to material flow and continuously refine processes for improved responsiveness and agility.
Quality Control
+ Establish and maintain rigorous quality control standards.
+ Perform statistical analysis to monitor product quality.
+ Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives.
+ Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
Budget & Cost Management
+ Develop and manage manufacturing budgets.
+ Identify cost-saving opportunities through process optimization.
+ Partner with finance to ensure budget adherence and reporting.
Team Leadership
+ Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and production teams.
+ Set performance goals and conduct evaluations.
+ Identify training needs and support professional development.
Supplier & Technology Integration
+ Evaluate and qualify new suppliers and technologies.
+ Negotiate supplier contracts and manage performance.
+ Integrate advanced manufacturing technologies into production lines.
Continuous Improvement Culture
+ Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
+ Encourage feedback and innovation from all levels of the organization.
+ Regularly review and refine processes for scalability and efficiency.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with increasing responsibility.
+ Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required.
+ Proven expertise in manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology.
+ Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
+ Proficiency in CAD and manufacturing software.
+ Deep understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
+ Ability to work independently and mentor less experienced colleagues.
