Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a remote Payroll and Benefits Coordinator. The client hiring this Payroll and Benefits Coordinator is a boutique managed services provider that helps international businesses launch operations in the United States. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience with diverse payroll platforms ranging from complex PEO solutions like Prism to user-friendly platforms like Gusto, combined with deep knowledge of US compliance requirements and benefits administration.
Responsibilities:
• Payroll Management
o Process multi-state payroll for venture-backed technology companies across various platforms including Prism/PEO, Gusto, ADP, Paychex, and other enterprise-level systems
o Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for clients with complex equity compensation structures, including stock options, RSUs, and ESPP plans
o Manage payroll for remote and distributed teams across multiple states with varying tax requirements
o Prepare and distribute payroll reports and analytics for client leadership teams
• Benefits Administration
o Administer comprehensive benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability coverage
o Coordinate open enrollment processes and employee benefit communications
o Manage 401(k) plan administration, including enrollment, and vendor relationships
o Support implementation of flexible benefits packages tailored to startup and scale-up environments.
• Compliance and Regulatory Management
o Manage compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
o Manage tax filings, wage garnishments, and unemployment claims with the vendor
• Client Support and Relationship Management
o Serve as primary point of contact for payroll and benefits inquiries from client HR teams
o Conduct training sessions for client teams on payroll and benefits processes
o Support client onboarding and system implementations

Skills and Requirements
• 4+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration
• Experience with popular payroll systems such as Gusto, ADP Workforce Now, Paychex, or similar platforms
• Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
• Experience with HRIS systems integration and data management
• Knowledge of federal and state payroll tax requirements and multi-state employment law and compliance requirements
• Familiarity with equity compensation, taxation, and reporting
