**Location:** Syracuse, NY | **Pay Rate:** $25.18/hour | **Schedule:** FT/Mon-Fri (3pm - 11:30pm)
PDS Tech Commercial, in partnership with an industry-leading manufacturer of commercial HVAC systems, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Service and Support Technician to join our team on **2nd Shift** . What You’ll Do: Build the Future of HVAC Technology
As a Service and Support Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting the development and testing of next-generation HVAC systems. Working under moderate supervision, you'll collaborate with engineers and technicians to bring product innovations to life. Your work will directly influence product performance, safety, and reliability.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
+ Fabricate and assemble test apparatuses for product development and testing.
+ Perform electrical and mechanical modifications on test units and components.
+ Conduct performance testing of HVAC equipment in compliance with ASHRAE/UL standards.
+ Calibrate test equipment and troubleshoot unit or instrumentation issues.
+ Record, document, and report test data using MS Office and internal data systems.
+ Assist in training and guiding other technical team members.
What You Bring:
Required Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ **_Minimum of 2 years of HVAC or maintenance experience (relevant education may substitute)._**
+ **_Must obtain EPA refrigerant certification EPA608 within 60 days of start date to remain eligible for position (at employees expense)._**
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Basic electrical wiring experience (3-phase a plus).
+ Hands-on experience with refrigeration cycles and related components.
+ Proficiency in brazing and working with combustible/pressurized gases.
+ Ability to read and follow test procedures accurately.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
+ Clear written and verbal communication skills.
+ A strong safety mindset and ability to adapt to shifting priorities quickly.

**Pay Details:** $25.18 per hour
