    CHMC –Wellness Center-Licensed Mental Health Counsler– Full Time- Day Shift – Requisition 8929

     

    LMHC Pay Range: $35.47-$47.00*

    Job Summary:

    The Mental Health Counselor provides counseling to individuals and groups to promote optimum mental health. You will assist clients dealing with a range of challenges, including thoughts of suicide; addictions and substance abuse; family, parenting, and marital problems; stress management; problems with self-esteem; and issues associated with aging. You will also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote high-quality, patient-centered behavioral health services for clients of the Claxton Hepburn Wellness Center.

    Qualifications

    + Education/Licensure:

    + Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling required.

    + Must be licensed by the state of New York.

    + Training and Experience:

    + At least one year of experience preferred.

    + Must have completed coursework or training in the identification and reporting of child abuse and must be a NYS mandated reporter.

    + Must maintain current BLS certification.

    + General Requirements:

    + Must possess good moral character.

    + Ability to perform physical requirements including bending, lifting, standing, and walking.

    *The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
