    Description

    SAIC is seeking an experienced Personnel Security Officer to support our customer’s Office of Security. This position will be responsible for Continuous Evaluation/Continuous Vetting Case Control. This position is located in Springfield VA.

     

    This contract is able to quickly adjudicate a polygraph for those with an active TS/SCI. **An active TS/SCI is required to be considered for this role.**

    This position will be responsible fore the following:

    + Manage, triage, and assign cases from PeopleSoft Electronic Reporting (eReport), polygraph referrals, emails, internal/external referrals, DNI CE alerts, EAFR, RapBack, and walk-in notification.

    + Validate, research, review, create reportables, create cases, and forward to personnel security specialist-Investigators, all reportable information from employees and contractors meeting timelines established by the government.

    + Track and Report Electronic Alerts (eAlerts) in metric format per established format.

    + Provide support to the established CE/CV PERSEC Program.

    + Provide service excellence in guidance and resolution to internal and external customers’ questions and inquiries in a timely manner for support to their programs.

    + Utilize a variety of security concepts, principles and practices to analyze and recommend solutions for difficult and complex security issues.

    + Document and provide Weekly Activity Report (WAR) actions in the customer designated template and timeline to the Government Team Lead.

    + Assist the government team to help in developing recommendations for improvement.

    + Prepare, write, and present reports/whitepapers, various forms of correspondence, as required.

    + Provide positive, well-communicated responses and closure of all customer inquiries.

    + Document, file, and maintain all actions in the personnel security systems of record (PeopleSoft or its successor).

    + Direct all incoming documentation to the appropriate person or database within three business days of receipt.

    + Deliver priority messages based on urgency.

    + Capture details of all actions within the appropriate PeopleSoft security modules.

    Qualifications

    Skills and Experience Required:

    + **Active TS/SCI is REQUIRED**

    + Ability to obtain a polygraph is required

    + Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field

    + Minimum 7-10 year’s experience

    + Clear and concise writing skills

    + Positive, engaging communication skills

    + Excellent organizational skills to achieve required timelines

    + General understanding/application of the Personnel Security discipline **Desired:**

    + Efficient in office software applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, Adobe, etc.)
