Responsibilities
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Team Member (EMT, CMA, LPN, or RN) to join our Urgent Care team in Urbandale, IA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced, walk-in medical setting. This role involves both clinical and administrative tasks to support providers and ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform patient intake including vital signs, medical histories, and documentation in EMR systems
+ Administer medications and injections per provider orders and scope of practice
+ Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection with proper labeling and handling
+ Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments
+ Maintain clinical equipment and exam room cleanliness and stocking
+ Provide patient education and instructions as directed by provider
+ Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory and safety standards
+ Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings
+ Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to provide holistic care
Qualifications EMT Candidates:
+ Valid EMT Certification (State of Iowa or National Registry)
+ Phlebotomy experience required
+ Current BLS Certification (AHA or equivalent)
+ Ability to obtain these prior to starting
CMA Candidates:
+ Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program
+ Certified through one of the following:
+ AAMA (Certified Medical Assistant - CMA)
+ NHA (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant - CCMA)
+ AMT (Registered Medical Assistant - RMA)
+ NCCT (National Certified Medical Assistant - NCMA)
+ Phlebotomy experience required
+ Current BLS Certification
LPN or RN Candidates:
+ Current Iowa LPN or RN license in good standing
+ Phlebotomy experience required
+ Graduate of an accredited nursing program
+ Current BLS Certification
