    Responsibilities

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical CMA, LPN, or RN to join our family medicine team in Johnston, Iowa. This role is vital in providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with excellent communication and clinical skills, ready to support a wide variety of patient care duties under the direction of providers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and reason for visit.

    + Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.

    + Assist with minor procedures and examinations.

    + Perform point-of-care testing, EKGs, immunizations, and specimen collection.

    + Accurately document in the electronic medical record (EMR).

    + Provide patient education and follow-up care instructions.

    + Manage patient phone calls, prescription refills, and communication between patients and providers.

    + Maintain cleanliness and readiness of exam rooms and equipment.

    + Support front office and clinical workflows to ensure a smooth patient experience.

    + Follow all clinical protocols and regulatory requirements to ensure patient safety.

    Qualifications

    For Certified Medical Assistant (CMA):

    + Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

    + Active CMA certification required through one of the following organizations:

    + AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants)

    + NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing)

    + AMT (American Medical Technologists – RMA)

    + NHA (National Healthcareer Association)

    For Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

    + Current Iowa LPN license in good standing.

    For Registered Nurse (RN):

    + Current Iowa RN license in good standing.

    All Candidates Must Have:

    + Current BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire.

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Experience in a clinical outpatient setting preferred.
