The Coat Machine Technician is expected to perform a variety of tasks in a production/manufacturing environment with guidance from supervision, line lead, work instructions and procedures. Set up, operate and troubleshoot automatic and manual equipment to perform operation, and ensure quality acceptance of production assemblies, subassemblies and weapon systems. Operator monitors the production line and related equipment for proper functionality. If any defects or malfunctions are detected, operator halts production until the problem is fixed. Operator records equipment data and summarizes data by initiating and completing operational and quality assurance documents. Checks, tests and troubleshoots systems for conformance to specifications. May assist in directing work, assigning, and outlining tasks.
_This is a second shift position._
_This position is located at the Raytheon Dine Facility in Farmington, NM. RTX Dine Facility adheres_ _to the Navajo Nation Preference in Employment Act in areas of recruitment and hiring practices._
What You Will Do
+ General knowledge of how to perform and operate production equipment systems.
+ Understand, determine causes and correct malfunctions by using systems diagnostic features as necessary to ensure proper performance.
+ Responsible for tear down and cleaning of Parylene Coating equipment.
+ Assist in maintaining cleaning schedule for Parylene Coating equipment.
+ Understands and performs all job duties in accordance with the appropriate operating procedures/instructions related to all environmental/safety requirements.
+ Job duties also include working on production line during downtime.
+ Maintain good interpersonal skills, high level of oral and written communication and able to cope in a fast-paced multicultural work environment with emphasis on equipment operations of production hardware.
Qualifications You Must Have
+ Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
+ Experience with manufacturing or assembly.
+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
+ Valid state driver’s license.
+ Analytical, interactive, and computer literacy skills.
+ Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Windows 95 or newer, and database/test software.
+ Ability to understand and follow written instructions.
+ Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
+ Customer focused individual, well organized and capable of multi-tasking and working independently with minimal supervision.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment to accomplish common goals and provide status as needed.
+ Position may require standing or sitting for long periods of time, walking, bending, stooping and must be able to lift 50 lbs.
