    Responsibilities

    Noblis is seeking a highly motivated Project Associate to support the U.S. Department of State (DOS) in advancing its identity management and biometric standards initiatives. This position plays a critical role in coordinating standards development, supporting interagency and international workgroups, and assisting the program management office with documentation, research, and process improvement activities.

     

    The ideal candidate will have experience supporting technical or policy standards development, strong organizational and communication skills, and a background in program or project support within a federal environment.

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Provide research, analysis, and documentation support for identity management, biometric, and interoperability standards activities within DOS and external standards bodies (e.g., ISO/IEC, INCITS, NIST).

    + Assist in planning, scheduling, and documenting technical and policy workgroup meetings, workshops, and stakeholder sessions.

    + Support the development and coordination of standards-related documents, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

    + Track standards development actions, task assignments, and project milestones to ensure timely progress and alignment with program objectives.

    + Collaborate with technical subject matter experts, standards representatives, and partner agencies to maintain alignment across related initiatives.

    + Support the Program Manager with administrative, logistical, and reporting functions tied to task order deliverables and interagency coordination.

    + Maintain and update reference materials, templates, and document repositories to ensure accuracy and version control.

    + Contribute to quality assurance and process improvement activities to streamline coordination and information flow.

    Required Qualifications

    + US Citizenship is required

    + The candidate must have an **active Secret security clearance** with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI

    + Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant profession experience.

    + Experience supporting standards or governance bodies such as ISO/IEC SC37, INCITS, or NIST working groups.

    + Proficient/Solid level of analytical, writing, and coordination skills with attention to detail.

    + Experience supporting technical or policy programs within the U.S. Government (Department of State).

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

    Desired Qualifications

    + Master Degree

    + Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate meetings, and maintain organized documentation.

    + Knowledge of identity management, biometrics, cybersecurity, or interoperability frameworks.

    + Familiarity with federal acquisition, program management, or IT system modernization environments.

    + PMP or CAPM certification preferred.

    + Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

    Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.

     

    Posted Salary Range

     

    USD $71,800.00 - USD $112,150.00 /Yr.
