This RN position is part of Cleveland Clinic's Weekender Flex Program and will require you to work two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week. Weekend shift options start at 7:00pm on Fridays and end at 7:30am on Mondays. While you are only working 36 hours a week, Cleveland Clinic will pay you for 44 hours of work and give you full-time status and benefits. This schedule allows caregivers to enjoy personal time during the week with family and friends and take care of any errands that will not interfere with a typical day shift schedule.

+ Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources.
A caregiver in this position works weekends + 1 day/night shift from 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
+ Perform scrub and circulating functions.
+ Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN Program)
+ Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
+ One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic's Perioperative Residency Program
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross - If you do not hold this certification, you must obtain it within six months of hire.

Physical Requirements:
+ Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
+ Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
+ Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
+ Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds and ability to push, pull, and navigate supply carts weighing > than 75 pounds periodically.
Personal Protective Equipment:
+ Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
