    Overview

     

    As the Business Analyst / Project Manager (BA/PM), you will be responsible for business analysis and end-to-end project management for a portfolio of software-related initiatives, including new system implementations, enhancements, deprecations, and ongoing backlog management.

     

    The ideal candidate will partner closely with business units, technical teams, and external vendors to analyze needs, justify investments, prioritize work, gather requirements, and independently manage the full project lifecycle — ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of digital solutions that support our operations.

     

    Success in this role will be measured by on-time/on-budget delivery, stakeholder satisfaction, user adoption, and realization of business value from digital initiatives.

    Responsibilities

    Business Analysis

     

    + Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand goals, document current processes, and identify gaps or inefficiencies.

    + Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements, use cases, and process flows.

    + Translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.

    + Conduct cost-benefit analysis and support the development of business cases for new or enhanced digital capabilities.

    + Manage software backlogs and lead prioritization efforts across multiple departments.

    + Define and track KPIs to measure project health, business outcomes, and value realization. Prepare regular updates for senior leadership.

     

    Project Management

     

    + Independently manage software-related projects from initiation to closure, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, and stakeholder communication.

    + Define and maintain detailed project plans, status reports, risk logs, and decision logs.

    + Facilitate cross-functional meetings, stand-ups, sprint planning, and stakeholder updates.

    + Coordinate with internal IT, security, infrastructure, operations, and vendor teams to deliver digital solutions.

    + Ensure all project deliverables meet business expectations, compliance standards, and operational readiness.

    + Manage vendor deliverables, contracts, and SLAs to ensure accountability and alignment with business outcomes.

     

    Software Lifecycle Oversight

     

    + Oversee software deprecation projects, including data migration, user transition, and risk mitigation.

    + Drive enhancements and upgrades to existing platforms in alignment with business strategy.

    + Support user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and change management for digital tools.

    + Develop communication and adoption strategies to ensure successful change management and long-term user engagement.

    + Champion continuous improvement and digital innovation by identifying opportunities for automation, process optimization, and new technologies.

     

    Education & Experience Required

     

    + Embrace and live by the mission and values of Cypress Creek Renewables

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

    + 5+ years of experience in a hybrid PM &/or BA roles, preferably within utilities, energy, or regulated industries.

    + Proven experience managing software implementation and enhancement projects.

    + Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).

    + Skilled in business analysis techniques, including process modeling, requirement elicitation, and stakeholder facilitation.

    + Experience with backlog management and prioritization techniques (e.g., MoSCoW, WSJF).

    + Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders independently.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present technical topics to non-technical audiences.

    + Strong leadership, influence without authority, and conflict resolution skills. Comfortable presenting to executives and facilitating consensus across diverse stakeholders.

     

    Preferred

     

    + Experience in the energy, utilities, or power generation sector, especially with SCADA, ERP, asset management, or data analytics platforms.

    + Familiarity with Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

    + PMP®, PMI-PBA®, or CBAP® certification.

    + Understanding of cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation in the utility sector.

    + Familiarity with regulatory standards such as NERC, FERC, SOX, or equivalent compliance frameworks relevant to utilities and energy.

     

    Compensation: The salary range for the position is $100,000- $130,000 plus bonus and benefits. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
