Responsibilities

As a Mail Room Assistant you'll, process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.

+ Collect outgoing mail/packages, affix proper postage and prepare for receipt by postal agent.

+ Arrange for pick-ups of all overnight/express mail by delivery agents.

+ Sort incoming mail/parcels and distribute to proper recipients.

+ Track and record volume of mail for reporting purposes.

+ Maintain mail room equipment and supplies.

+ Report equipment malfunctions and repair/correct when possible.

+ Very proficient with Microsoft Suite and Google applications

Requirements

Education:

+ High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

+ Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences

Additional preferences:

+ 3-5 years mailroom operations experience, preferred.

+ Strong knowledge of general office and mail machines work (sorters, mailers, slicers,) as well as UPS/Fed-X, etc. as well as copiers, scanners, etc.

+ Overall understanding of healthcare (appeals, medical records, correspondence, etc.).

+ Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Google sheets, a must have.
