    The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills, and location. This position is bonus eligible.

     

    CNO Financial Group is seeking a strategic and innovative **Lead Infrastructure Architect – Computing Technologies** . In this senior role, you’ll be the go-to expert for both physical and virtual desktop computing, serving as the Tier 4 escalation point for complex technical issues and delivering white-glove support to executive leadership. You’ll design and implement enterprise-wide technology solutions, manage key vendor relationships (e.g., Dell, Lenovo), and align desktop computing strategies with business goals

    As a Lead Infrastructure Architect – Computing Technologies,** **your responsibilities will include:

    + Designing and implementing strategies and roadmaps across the enterprise for end-user computing technologies.

    + Leading the evolution of infrastructure from current to future state, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

    + Designing solutions that deliver excellent IT experiences for senior leadership, with a focus on reliability, performance, and personalized support.

    + Demonstrating leadership presence, working directly with senior leadership to gain support and alignment for technology solutions

    + Overseeing architectural implementation of systems and projects, ensuring compliance with standards.

    + Documenting technical and architectural requirements for internal teams and third-party partners.

    + Collaborating with business partners, engineers, and leadership to advance business outcomes and architectural concerns.

    + Managing relationships with vendors and managed service providers.

    + Ensuring all solutions meet technical and compliance requirements.

    + Providing mentorship and training to infrastructure architecture team members and IT peers.

    + Resolving complex technical issues for executive leadership with urgency and precision.

    The Lead Infrastructure Architect – Computing Technologies position** **is well-suited for you if you:

    + Demonstrate strong knowledge of physical and virtual computing and understand the latest developments & changes in market conditions in the industry.

    + Can translate business needs into solution architecture requirements by understanding the functions and capabilities of new technologies and estimating the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives.

    + Possess the technical ability to serve as subject matter expert, lead architect, and mentor to team members

    + Have strong interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork and facilitation.

    + Are a strong written and verbal communicator with good planning and organizational skills.

    What you’ll need:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related computing major required or equivalent experience

    + Typically, 8 years of experience designing and implementing infrastructure solutions in physical and virtual End User Computing

    + Prior vendor management experience

    + Demonstrated experience designing or supporting virtual desktop solutions, ideally with Azure Virtual Desktop or similar platforms—or a strong willingness to learn and master these technologies.

    + Proven leadership presence, with the ability to work closely with senior leadership to gain buy-in and alignment on technology strategies.

    + Candidate location in US-based Central or Eastern time zones

    + Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related computing major

    + Experience providing Tier 4, white-glove technical support.

Associates who live outside of a 60-mile radius of a corporate office may perform this role full-time work from home (WFH) from any US based location, as long as you are willing to work Central or Eastern time zone hours. All associates may be asked to travel to varying corporate offices periodically. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
