Admissions Coordinator (Graduate Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator)

Baruch College invites applications for the Graduate Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator position in the Zicklin School of Business. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Graduate Admissions, the Coordinator is customer-facing and serves as the central point-of-contact for visitors to the admissions office. This role is responsible for coordinating daily office operations and supporting the broader goals of the admissions and recruitment team.
In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, duties include but are not limited to:
Customer Service & Front-Line Support:
+ Assist with managing staffing of the front desk and phone coverage scheduling to ensure consistent service during business hours, including planning for staff absences and peak periods.
+ Providing direct front desk support, including greeting visitors and handling phone and in-person inquiries, during staff absences or peak periods.
+ Fielding inquiries from prospective students and applicants via phone, email, zoom, and walk-ins.
+ Hosting virtual office hours and live chat sessions to engage with prospective students and answer admissions-related questions.
Event Support & Recruitment Activities:
+ Supporting on- and off-campus recruitment efforts, including event preparation, coordination, and implementation.
+ Providing logistical and technical support for admissions events such as webinars and virtual information sessions.
CRM & Administrative Support:
+ Collecting, processing, and maintaining applicant data, records, and materials accurately in CRM and CUNYfirst databases.
+ Assisting with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system tasks, including entering data, creating and scheduling communications/events, and generating reports.
+ Manage incoming and outgoing mail, organize and file admissions documents
+ Liaising with other offices such as the Office of Graduate Programs and the Graduate Career Management Center to ensure a seamless experience for applicants and students.
+ Generating and maintaining records in the CUNYfirst database for admitted students.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
Preferred qualifications
+ 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in admissions, student services, or higher education, or equivalent experience through a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration or related field.
+ Demonstrated excellence in customer service, with strong communication skills across email, phone, and online platforms.
+ Proven ability to manage multiple inquiries, prioritize tasks, and work independently or collaboratively.
+ Strong time management and organizational skills, including experience coordinating office staff schedules.
+ Proficient in Slate (CRM), CUNYfirst (PeopleSoft), Canva, Microsoft Office Suite, Qualtrics, and major social media platforms.
+ Experience with highly-sensitive data entry and application processing with attention to accuracy and efficiency.
+ Experience supporting admissions events such as open houses, orientations, and info sessions, with a focus on creating a welcoming environment for prospective students and families.
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Coordinates efforts of admissions and/or enrollment offices.
- Coordinates workshops, intake screenings, interviews and orientations for new students
- Counsels prospective applicants on requirements and standards and provides general information on programs and services in person or by telephone, e-mail or letter; conducts follow up as needed
- Assists in conducting open house sessions and orientations, including group sessions and programs at high schools and in the community at large
- Assists with day-to-day administration and an admissions or enrollment office, including scheduling and preparing and distributing materials
- Represents the Admission Office to the college's internal and external communities as directed
- Maintains and updates program databases, lists and files to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$56,720- $66,154; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
