    # Project Overview:

    Bechtel is on the Northrop Grumman Corp. team preparing to deliver the U.S. Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) system of inter-continental ballistic missiles and launch infrastructure. GBSD is a vital U.S. Air Force program designed to modernize the nation’s aging force of inter-continental ballistic missiles, which make up the ground element of the nuclear deterrent. As part of the Northrop Grumman GBSD nationwide team, Bechtel will provide launch system design, construction, and integration.

     

    A major contractor for the United States and allied governments, Bechtel has handled such efforts as chemical weapons demilitarization projects, missile-defense, infrastructure, base operations, procurement and project management, and restoration and recovery spanning half a century.     # Job Summary:

    The Senior Project Controls Reporting Engineer helps lead and support project reporting requirements.

     

    + Coordinates cost, schedule, performance, and other reporting inputs from multiple departments.

    + Verifies accuracy and consistency of reporting information.

    + Ensures project awareness of and adherence to reporting deadlines.

    + Prepares and facilitates presentation of information to management/client.

    + Ensures compliance with project record keeping and data archival requirements.

    # Major Responsibilities:

    + Investigates the requirements for and coordinates inputs to project reports.

    + Obtains required reporting information from all disciplines/functions.

    + Coordinates with all departments to ensure understanding of total project reporting needs. Identifies restraints and effect on deliverable schedule.

    + Prepares reporting plan in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures. Collects and classifies data. Coordinates recording, monitoring, & reporting practices for compliance with applicable standards.

    + Identifies considerations and problems resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfaces. Coordinates the total integration of reporting activities.

    + Operates, manages, and oversees use of cross-department reporting tools and software.

    + Assists in the preparation of analysis, recommendations, reports, metrics, and presentations to management/client.

    + Verifies consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility and consistency.

    + Works with owners to update and satisfy project record keeping and data archival requirements.

    + Coordinates the development and accuracy of reports.

    + Collects and analyzes alternatives for improvement.

    + Coordinates the development and maintenance of project reporting program.

    + Delivers training sessions and facilitates workshops on project reporting.

    # Education and Experience Requirements:

    + Must possess at least a bachelors’ (BS/BA) degree from an accredited university and five (5) or more years of relevant professional experience, or in lieu of a degree, high school diploma or equivalent and nine (9) or more years of directly relevant professional experience.

    + US citizenship is required per contract requirement.

    + Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check including verification of employment, education, and travel.

    + Must be able to obtain site security badge for access to work site.

    # Required Knowledge and Skills:

    + Will be experienced in the production of management information reporting at a program level including the use of enterprise level systems.

    + Experience in developing processes for reporting that are tailored to the program environment and to meeting customer requirements.

    + Experience in monitoring and reviewing planning and scheduling performance, including schedule development, control, and analysis, as well as cost performance, including cost estimating, cost control, financial reporting systems, and cost analysis.

    + Demonstrated strong background with and an ability to review and present cost engineering and cost estimating products as well as planning and scheduling products using a high level of professional judgment and knowledge related to technical planning and scheduling skills and engineering design and construction practices.

    + Skilled in oral and written communication.

    + Demonstrates an advanced level of understanding of Project Controls technical skills.

    + Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.

    + Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.

    Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

    + Project Controls leadership experience on EPC/EPCM projects.

    + Proven track record of successful project controls delivery across scheduling, cost engineering, cost estimating and risk management.

    + Experienced in the application of BI Analytics to deliver management information across a program.

    + Demonstrated ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and objectives.
