We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team for a full-time day shift position including weekends in a rotation. Hours are typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and require 1 week of on-call responsibilities.

Job Summary and Qualifications
Assists with the installation, inspection, repair and maintenance of machinery; performs preventive maintenance as prescribed in department’s preventive maintenance manual; completes work requests from other departments. Assists in the performance of duties necessary to keep the physical structure and associated equipment of hospital in good repair. Minor electrical work, mechanical repairs and other duties relating to maintenance are the primary duties.
Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the Plant Ops Department
Constantly monitors gauges and listens for malfunctioning of boiler room equipment to keep it safe and workable.
Performs urgent corrective, routine and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems as required
Performs maintenance on equipment and system as required
Performs preventative maintenance duties to all physical structures of hospital and complies with all building safety codes. This is to include facility equipment and controls.
Performs manual duties as requested (moving supplies or furniture, replacing light bulbs, removing trash or scrap material)
Recommends the replacement of equipment structure as needed
Ability to work on his/her own with normal supervision
A thorough knowledge of how to use and maintain plant tools and equipment
Knowledge and observance of safety precautions
Participates in performance improvement and information management activities
What qualifications you will need:
High School Diploma or GED required
Vocational certificate or diploma in industrial electricity, HVAC, or industrial plant maintenance is preferred
1+ years of experience in maintenance and repairs is highly preferred
