Siena University invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Director of Academic Counseling for the Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP). The role of this position is to provide academic, financial and career counseling to a diverse student population. This position supports the retention of underrepresented populations through counseling, mentoring and programming. The Assistant Director of Academic Counseling will be responsible for creating, coordinating and facilitating our Peer Mentoring program, academic/career workshops, Student Lobby Day program and Alumni Speaker series events during the academic school year. In addition, this position is the lead and oversees all summer program workshops during our 5 weeks summer program, in addition to managing social media projects as assigned. This role is responsible for managing, supervising, making decisions and acting as program liaison with all university personnel and outside constituents in the absence of the HEOP Director and Associate Director.
Salary: $62,410.00

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required. Master's preferred. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required. Experience working with diverse student population on a college campus is desirable. Experience in HEOP/EOP or similar opportunity programs is a plus. Comfortability facilitating workshops and experiencing managing social media platforms. A background screening will be required.
