What’s the job?

We are seeking a Distribution Group Leader – Tarping to oversee daily operations related to truck loading and tarping within our distribution department. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and timely shipment of goods while maintaining compliance with all safety protocols and operational procedures.

+ **Safety & Compliance**

+ Understand all Plant Safety Rules

+ Understand all safety procedures associated with the distribution operation

+ Develop, understand and follow all SOPs related to the distribution operation

+ Understand and manage all plant emergency situations and procedures

+ Report all safety incidents to Manager and/or EHS Manager

+ Proper use of necessary PPE required in the plant work areas

+ Understand pedestrian & mobile equipment safety in the various work areas

+ **Operational Leadership**

+ Lead all the daily activities in the truck loading and tarping area.

+ Coordinate and control tarping operations from the flow of empty trailers into loading bays to removal of loaded trailers to the auto tarping building through the tarping process until the fully loaded trailer is tarped and staged for shipment

+ Understand and implement proper packing & loading methods, including an understanding of shipping materials

+ Matching carrier trailer with the correct order

+ Manage the general housecleaning of the assigned work areas

+ **Training & Development**

+ Lead and conduct all employee trainings and department orientation

+ Complete Employee Safety Orientation and all safety training programs

+ Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental goals

What do you bring?

+ Work experience within Supply Chain Management, industrial management, or the equivalent training and experience, which will provide the necessary knowledge of the laws, regulations, practices and procedures impacting warehouse and logistics.

+ Requires 1-3 years of experience at a supervisory level within the areas of supervision and warehouse operations to demonstrate mastering of the required core competencies including: providing direction, influencing others, foster teamwork, coach and develop employees, as well as a champion of change.

+ An effective leader, with clear direction, accountability and driver of change.

+ Excellent communication.
