    Job Summary

    Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Psychologist (PhD) to join our multidisciplinary Behavioral Health team. This full-time, Monday-Friday position requires a licensed doctoral-level (PhD) psychologist. This position offers the rewarding opportunity to care for a diverse patient population in a supportive, outpatient setting. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible with a NYS License.     Core Job Responsibilities

     

    + Psychological testing and assessment for adults and children

    + Psychotherapy for adults and children

    + Assesses patient progress and modifies treatment programs accordingly

    + Communicates with and counsels family members as appropriate.

    + Work closely with a multidisciplinary team

    + Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives

    + Demonstrate quality in documentation

    + Must be on site

     

    Education/Experience Requirements

    REQUIRED:

    + PhD or PsyD degree in clinical, counseling psychology or related field

    + Experience in assessment and DSM diagnosis

    + Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and reliable.

    + Excellent written and oral communication skills.

    + Basic computer knowledge with the ability to learn new software.

    PREFERRED:

    + Master’s degree (in lieu of Psychology License)

     

    Licensure/Certification Requirements

    REQUIRED:

    + NYS Certified Psychologist License (or eligibility)

    PREFERRED:

    + Certification in psychometrics (in lieu of Psychology License)
