    + Responsible for performing analysis of ASAP and other relevant data to identify risk to drive actions to enhance our safety culture. This includes supporting risk and root cause analysis, interface with subject matter experts (SME) and the evaluation of current processes and procedures for effectiveness.

    + Prepare reports/presentations and actively participate in AA’s Safety Management System, which involves all levels of leadership.

    + Collaborate with operational leaders, operational team members, union representatives, supporting departments (e.g. Training, Policies & Procedures), other ASAPs (e.g. Flight, Flight Service, Ground/Ramp, Dispatch, etc.) and other operating departments.

    + The role is a part of the Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) team within our Safety group.

     

    What you'll do

Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations._

     

    + Processing reports to ensure the confidentiality of the ASAP and accurate data input.

    + Support the ASAP Manager in preparing the ASAP Event Review Committee (ERC) agenda and efficiency of the ERC meeting.

    + Ensure ERC meeting minutes, attendance and action items are accurately documented.

    + Continually evaluating data to identify trends and changes in operational risk based on information captured in ASAP.

    + Assist with projects for the ASAP to promote Safety in managing operational risk and enhancing compliance.

    + Collaborate with departments, FAA and labor union members of the ERC for information sharing and corrective actions.

    + Develop safety & compliance materials including posters and power point presentations to represent the department in meetings as required

    + Interface with other ASAP teams sharing, analyzing, and reporting information

    + Any other relevant duties to support ASAP assigned by the ASAP Manager

     

    All you'll need for success

    Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

    + Bachelor's Degree or equivalent operational experience

    + 3+ years’ experience in the airline operations

    + Ability to generate effective data analysis

    + Must be able to perform his/her duties under strict confidentiality guidelines.

    + Ability to travel (25%)

    Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

    + Skilled in the use SCEPTRE, TABLEAU, CERS, SHAREPOINT, and WBAT or similar complex database system

    + Versed in the Code of Federal Regulations

    + Knowledgeable of company/operational policies and procedures

    + Experience in Safety Management Systems (SMS) principals

    + Data analysis experience

    Skills, Licenses & Certifications

    + Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint

    + Ability to establish and handle multiple priorities

    + Ability to self-manage time schedule
