    Do you love to read? Are you equally passionate about solving complex technical problems and great customer experiences? Kindle is looking for a Senior Product Manager to drive the long-term vision and strategy for content editing foundations and input experiences on Kindle, across all content types and cross-surface experiences. This product manager will be responsible for delivering foundational writing tools and multi-modal note-taking capabilities that empower customers to engage more deeply with Kindle content through annotations and note-taking.

    Key job responsibilities

    The successful candidate will have played a leading role in consumer app or client operating system development, combining passion for amazing customer experiences with the ability to work closely with design and engineering teams to find creative solutions to product challenges. They must be highly analytical and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into features that deliver exceptional reading and writing experiences. The ideal candidate should possess deep understanding of text-based data structures and algorithms, and knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP). They must also understand the complexities of interpreting various handwriting styles and be familiar with the models and algorithms used to achieve high accuracy in handwriting recognition systems.

    About the team

    The Kindle Experience Product Management team owns the customer facing software experiences across all Kindle devices and apps - ranging from how you read, navigate, acquire content and more. Our mission is to be the world's favorite place to read, write and get more out of reading.

    Basic Qualifications

    - 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

     

    - Bachelor's degree

     

    - Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

     

    - Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

     

    - Experience with end to end product delivery

     

    - Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

     

    - Experience managing technical products or online services

     

    - Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

    Preferred Qualifications

    - MBA · BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field from a top university

     

    - Experience delivering consumer software products and services in a high growth environment

     

    - Experience in technical product management, program management or engineering

     

    - Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams

     

    - Prior experience working in a software engineering discipline

     

    - Passion for reading

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
