Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Cold Finish Nebraska is seeking a motivated and dependable Maintenance Intern to join our team. The responsibilities of a maintenance intern include, but are not limited to, day-to-day electrical maintenance in the plant, automation, supporting maintenance and production crews, special projects, daily use of CMMS, eliminating downtime and waste, improving predictive and preventative maintenance, which would include troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading production equipment. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, works well with others, and is committed to maintaining a safe and positive work environment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Minimum Qualifications:
+ Currently enrolled in trade school or college program (preferred: industrial technology, engineering, Electro-Mechanical or related field).
+ Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in maintenance or skilled trades.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ PLC systems building, programming, and troubleshooting experience.
+ Previous internship or work experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
+ Familiarity with OSHA regulations and industrial safety standards, particularly in manufacturing or facility maintenance environments.
+ Proficiency in documenting maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment performance data.
+ Basic understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment commonly used in industrial maintenance.
Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation and must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
