    Our client, a leading organization in the autonomous mobility industry, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting vehicle design and serviceability initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Mechanical Engineer - Serviceability

    **Location:** Foster City, CA

    **Pay Range:** $72/hour

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Partner with cross-functional teams to drive Design for Serviceability (DFS) improvements.

    + Evaluate part and assembly designs from concept through manufacturing for accessibility, ergonomics, and feasibility of replacement.

    + Develop and maintain service part release strategies and Service BOM for spare parts planning.

    + Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to integrate components and electromechanical systems effectively.

    + Identify the need for specialized tooling, guide design, and oversee development to enhance serviceability.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

    + 4-6 years of engineering experience within product design and manufacturing environments.

    + Proven experience in designing and developing products throughout their lifecycle.

    + Strong skills in 3D CAD software, with CATIA experience being a plus.

    + Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and communicate findings effectively.
