Our client, a leading organization in data center facility operations, is seeking a dedicated Data Center Operating Engineer to join their team. As a Data Center Operating Engineer, you will be an integral part of the operations team supporting critical infrastructure and ensuring seamless data center performance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

**Job Title:** Data Center Operating Engineer

**Location:** Abilene, TX

What's the Job?

+ Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance on all data center building systems to ensure 100% uptime.

+ Analyze system operations, identify malfunctions, and implement corrective actions promptly.

+ Manage work orders, vendor interactions, and customer-facing tickets efficiently.

+ Ensure compliance with safety policies, including hazardous materials handling and emergency procedures.

+ Respond to site emergencies and support incident management to protect critical systems.

What's Needed?

+ Minimum of 2+ years experience working in a data center or critical facility environment.

+ Experience with building systems such as UPS, emergency generators, and switchgears.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ Proficiency with computer applications including MS Office, Google Suite, and CMMS.

+ Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing, lifting, and working at heights.
