The School of Applied Technologies invites applications for a Visiting Instructor to teach Electrical Construction courses during the Spring 2026 semester. The position will support a two-year, Associate Degree program that prepares graduates for employment as electricians, electrical control technicians, alternative energy technicians and utilities technicians.
Teaching Responsibilities
+ Provide evidence-based instruction in accordance with the policies set forth by the College
+ Post and keep regular office hours for the convenience of students
+ Participate in the assessment of course, student learning, and program outcomes
+ Incorporate student service learning opportunities
Job Requirements:
+ Associate's Degree and five years of experience as an electrician OR
+ High school diploma and fifteen years of experience as an electrician.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree
+ Experience in teaching or working with young adults
+ Demonstrated ability to teach diverse populations
+ Understanding the value of civic engagement
+ Certifications and/or licensure
Additional Information:
+ Salary: $24,000 for Spring Semester (January 15, 2016 - May 15, 2016)
+ This is a 10-month academic year, tenure track position
