Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with a focus on cash flow management and reconciliation processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to contribute to critical financial operations and audits. This is a 3-month contract position. 100% REMOTE.

Interim Senior Accountant (contract position to cover a medical leave):

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain cash flow templates to support audit procedures and financial reviews.

• Perform detailed cash flow roll-forward analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Reconcile cash accounts and balance sheets, identifying and resolving discrepancies.

• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accurate financial reporting.

• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit requirements.

• Utilize advanced Excel skills to create and analyze financial reports.

• Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.

• Support financial operations by improving processes and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.

Requirements • Proven experience in accounting processes, including general ledger management and reconciliations.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.

• Strong knowledge of cash flow management and template creation.

• Experience with month-end close procedures and journal entries.

• Familiarity with balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

• Prior experience with internal or external audits is highly desirable.

• Ability to perform detailed bank reconciliations and financial reporting.

• Working knowledge of Sage Intacct or similar accounting software is preferred.
