Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join a growing team in Tolleson, AZ. This temp-to-hire position is perfect for someone with a strong background in accounts receivable processes and proficiency with QuickBooks or Sage software. The ideal candidate will be a team player with exceptional organizational skills, accuracy, and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Process customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

+ Manage accounts receivable functions, including monitoring aging reports and following up on outstanding payments.

+ Post payments to the general ledger and reconcile accounts receivable balances.

+ Research and resolve payment discrepancies and respond to customer inquiries.

+ Ensure accurate and complete documentation for all accounts receivable transactions.

+ Prepare weekly and monthly collection and AR activity reports to share with management.

+ Assist with cash application and daily account deposits.

+ Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure proper month-end and year-end reconciliations.

+ Maintain customer records, including credit terms and payment histories, in the accounting software.

+ Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to billing and collections.

Requirements

Requirements:

+ Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or another related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).

+ Experience:

+ 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role.

+ Hands-on experience with QuickBooks or Sage software is required.

+ Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., spreadsheets, pivot tables, and formulas).

+ High attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organizational skills.

+ Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.

+ Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to professionally interact with internal teams and external customers.
