    Description

    Robert Half is seeking a Grant Writing and/or Grant Researching Specialist for a remote contract opportunity. The right candidate will be detail-oriented, resourceful, and skilled at crafting compelling, data-driven narratives to help secure critical funding opportunities.

     

    Title: Grant Writer and Research Specialist

    Schedule/Hours: Flexible, varied hours per week

     

    Pay Range: $30-40/hour

    Responsibilities

    + Research and identify funding opportunities that align with organizational priorities across multiple sectors.

    + Develop and write persuasive, high-quality grant proposals for government, corporate, and foundation sources.

    + Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to gather data, develop strategy, and ensure alignment with Life Flight’s mission and funding goals.

    + Prepare proposal budgets, timelines, and supporting documentation as needed.

    + Track, manage, and meet all grant submission and reporting deadlines.

    + Prepare post-award and progress reports to ensure compliance with funder requirements.

    + Monitor grant performance and success rates to inform future strategy and improve outcomes.

    + Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in grant writing and funding research.

    Requirements

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.

    + Proven experience in grant writing and/or research—nonprofit or healthcare experience preferred.

    + Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive proposals.

    + Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize data to support funding narratives.

    + Experience using funding databases, research tools, and grant management software.

    + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

    + Familiarity with the healthcare, education, or social services sectors.

    + Experience with grants in the Pacific Northwest (Oregon, Washington, Idaho).

    + Background in fundraising or development strategy.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, and online research database
