    What You'll Do

    + First point of contact and escalation point for any/all background check issues and questions from branches related to PreAdverse/Adverse action process; inform and/or escalate to department Supervisor as required

    + Assist with regular background check informal audits to ensure compliance with adjudication procedures, case timelines and pre-adverse and adverse action requirements

    + Analyze returned case results for discrepancies or issues.

    + Adjudicate case results on all background checks.

    + Mail all custom pre-adverse and adverse action letters and send to candidates whose cases contained derogatory results.

    + When derogatory results are returned assist legal with gathering information

    + Listen carefully to branches in order to work with management team to develop solutions that meet their needs.

    + Research, document, track actions in case management software.

    + Participate as primary troubleshooter, proactively monitor and resolve system/vendor inquires or issues in a timely and professional manner.

    + Ensure that timely and accurate BGC processing meets or exceeds expected business needs and objectives.

    + Has develops solid knowledge of current background check laws; and maintain knowledge

    + Responsible for accurate data entry of all background checks in PA2 Dashboard and Salesforce

    + Develop partnerships with internal corporate departments to meet branches needs.

    + Create training on operational, technical and compliance processes related to background checks.

    + Collaborate with other BGC Verification team members or corporate department teams to ensure service levels are being met for optimal user satisfaction, and adherence to best practices and government regulations.

    + Implement legal compliance measures

    + Evaluates applicant background checks designated as “Additional Review Required” This includes but is not limited to:

    + Validating candidate’s credentials

    + Performing an individualized assessment in compliance with legal guidance to evaluate the candidate’s suitability for hire or promotion

    + Conducting research into candidate qualifications/eligibility by contacting applicant and outside entities such as educational institutions, courts, and other third parties for information

    + Determining whether the background check should be passed or failed based on established guidelines

    + Point of contact for internal business partners and external branches on background check submission status, issues or questions related to regulatory compliance.

    + Run, research and distribute reports to user groups as needed. Delayed cases, Monthly/Quarterly TAT reports.

    What You'll Need

    + AA / BA BS or equivalent job experience

    + Background Verification Compliance Knowledge

    + Proficient in MS Office suite (outlook, excel and word)

    + Decision Making skills, strong written and verbal skills, organization, interpersonal, ability to interact and communicate with business partners of various levels and expertise

    ***Bilingual in French-Canadian is a plus

     

    The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location.

     

    $48,000.00 - $73,000.00
