Job Title: Demolition Laborer
Job Description
As a Demolition Laborer, you will be responsible for dismantling concrete, drywall, and breaking building materials. This role requires the safe operation of hand and power tools, as well as large equipment such as skid steers and loaders. You will also be tasked with debris removal and ensuring all standard operating procedures are followed during demolition and cleanup.
Responsibilities
+ Dismantle concrete, drywall, and building materials.
+ Safely operate hand and power tools.
+ Operate large equipment such as skid steers and loaders when necessary.
+ Lift, carry, and hold building materials, tools, and supplies.
+ Dig, spread, and level dirt and gravel.
+ Follow all standard operating procedures during demolition and cleanup.
+ Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations.
+ Clean tools, equipment, and work areas.
+ Complete specific projects and tasks as assigned.
+ Travel out of town as required.
Essential Skills
+ 1+ years of construction experience.
+ Experience with hand and power tools.
+ DBIDS and REAL ID in hand.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in general labor, jackhammer use, and demo work.
+ Knowledge of commercial construction and building teardown.

Work Environment
Work takes place both outdoors and indoors, rain or shine, with hours from 7 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, and some Saturdays. The work environment is dynamic and requires adaptability to various conditions.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portsmouth, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
