Job Title: General Production Worker

Pay: $17 an hour

Shift: 1st shift

Job Description

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as material handlers in a plastic pipe extrusion company. This role involves removing pipes from the extrusion machine, stacking them onto racks, and preparing them for transport to scales for weighing. Candidates will also perform visual quality checks and manage defective products. There is a potential opportunity to advance to an extrusion operator position, offering increased compensation.

Responsibilities

+ Remove pipes from extrusion machines and stack them onto racks.

+ Band up pipes and prepare them for forklift transport.

+ Perform visual inspections of pipes for defects.

+ Load defective pipes onto scrap pallets.

+ Possibility to become certified in forklift operation.

Essential Skills

+ General labor and material handling experience.

+ Willingness to learn and potentially become certified in forklift operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous experience in extrusion or injection mold environments is a plus.

+ 2 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing or distribution for higher pay rates.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.60/hr.
