    Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist

    Job Description

    As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you will oversee all shipping operations, focusing on the efficient movement of goods, training staff, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining safety. Your role will be crucial in managing inventory, preparing and documenting outgoing shipments, supervising loading, performing quality checks, and training new employees to ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage and oversee all shipping operations.

    + Perform quality checks on shipments.

    + Train staff to ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards.

    + Ensure all incoming items are correct.

    + Manage inventory efficiently.

    + Supervise and manage the Shipping Department, including paperwork, package preparation, and logistics.

    + Coordinate with QA for packing slip inspection if discrepancies arise.

    + Handle inventory discrepancies, packaging, and paperwork issues, and create steps to avoid future problems.

    + Direct staffing resources to adapt to changing priorities.

    + Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments, including test reports and material certifications.

    + Follow up and resolve issues preventing timely shipments.

    + Create shipping labels and manage shipping information for domestic and international shipments.

    + Prepare and coordinate international shipments, bills of lading, and shipping instructions with third-party freight forwarders.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Excel, Word, and ERP systems.

    + Experience in shipping, receiving, manufacturing, aerospace, and inventory management.

    + Ability to use tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.

    + Knowledge of ERP and MRP systems.

    + Strong communication skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Forklift operation is a plus.

    + Experience with shipping and receiving, labeling, packaging, and material handling.

    + Knowledge of Boeing and Spirit portals.

    + Experience with UPS WorldShip, FedEx, and DHL for shipping products domestically and internationally.
