Job Title: Lead Building Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a self-sufficient and experienced maintenance professional to oversee the upkeep of 10 residential living facilities that support children and adults with disabilities. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in an independent work environment and takes pride in resolving maintenance issues efficiently and respectfully within a care-focused setting. The position is based in the Fargo-Moorhead Area and offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends or on-call duties.
Responsibilities
+ Respond to approved work orders submitted by tenants through a centralized system.
+ Perform appliance installation, plumbing repairs, cabinet and carpentry fixes, painting and drywall touch-ups, lighting and electrical troubleshooting, HVAC maintenance, and general building upkeep.
+ Operate out of a company-provided truck with all necessary tools supplied.
+ Maintain clear documentation of completed work and communicate effectively with operations.
+ Ensure all work is completed with sensitivity to the needs of residents in assisted living environments.
+ Serve as the sole technician initially, with the opportunity to lead and mentor a second technician as the department expands.
Essential Skills
+ Proven experience in residential property maintenance or a related field.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple trades such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical.
+ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills.
+ Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in facility and building maintenance.
+ Ability to effectively lead and mentor new team members.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Fargo, North Dakota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $55000.00/yr.
Health & Dental Insurance:
100% employer-paid for single coverage.

8% employer match for retirement contributions.
Paid Time Off (PTO):
Bi-weekly accrual based on employment status. PTO can be used in partial-day increments. Community Living staff receive a higher accrual rate.
Holiday Pay:
Up to 8 designated holidays per year, including New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (2 days), and Christmas Day. Employees also receive one “My Holiday” to celebrate a day of their choosing.
Sick Leave:
Paid sick leave is available, with eligibility extending to part-time and on-call staff.
