    Job Title: General Laborer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated General Laborer to operate fabrication machines such as mills and lathes. The role involves reading blueprints to produce accurate parts, performing quality checks, and collaborating with leads to achieve daily goals. You will also engage in cross-department training and assist supervisors and other operators as needed. This position requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs throughout the day.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate fabrication machines including mills and lathes.

    + Read and interpret blueprints to produce accurate parts.

    + Conduct quality checks on parts to ensure accuracy.

    + Collaborate with leads to accomplish daily goals.

    + Participate in cross-department training.

    + Assist supervisors and other operators as needed.

    + Engage in general production activities and meet daily targets.

    + Lift up to 50lbs throughout the day.

    Essential Skills

    + Mechanically inclined.

    + Experience with machine operation, setup, and measurement.

    + Familiarity with production, maintenance repair, assembly, and mechanical tasks.

    + Proficiency in forklift operation, packaging, and hand tool use.

    + Ability to operate machines using a microscope and tape measure.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ideally 6 months of machine operation and basic setup experience in a manufacturing setting.

    + Open to entry-level candidates with a willingness to learn.

    + Attendance is highly valued and will be verified with references.

    + Ability to read rulers and provide references for this skill.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waseca, Minnesota.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
