Job Title: Assembly Technician
Job Description
The Assembly Technician is responsible for accurately following build sheets and drawings to ensure that all parts are assembled and processed to customer specifications with a possible tolerance of .003. This role involves using a variety of measuring devices including gauges and calipers, as well as hand and foot-powered tools for tasks such as cutting wire, trimming insulation, and crimping terminals and connectors onto wire. Some applications may also require solder dipping.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure products are assembled correctly and consistently, meeting both external and internal requirements.
+ Monitor assembly and service processes for compliance and control.
+ Use the ERP system to access part drawings, routings, and instructions.
+ Locate necessary information such as work instructions and assembly drawings in the database.
+ Interpret internal and customer requirements from drawings and documentation.
+ Understand work order packets and maintain traceability of parts.
+ Assemble and inspect parts to required levels per specifications.
+ Measure parts using calipers and other equipment, understanding measuring units such as millimeters and inches.
+ Use a microscope to assemble and inspect small parts repetitively.
+ Assist in packaging parts and ensuring compliance with quality and customer standards.
Essential Skills
+ Inspection and quality control proficiency.
+ Good understanding of small part assembly and attention to detail.
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
+ Experience with micrometers and visual assembly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with small parts and close tolerances.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Akron, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
