    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Electronic Controls Technician with experience as an industrial electrician. This role focuses on planned maintenance of computers, microprocessors, PLC-based equipment, and their remote hardware/interface systems. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience, with proven skills in troubleshooting and programming.

    Responsibilities

    + **Perform planned maintenance and inspections on PLC-based equipment and related hardware**

    + **Respond to breakdowns, trouble calls, and information requests**

    + **Coordinate with supervision and planning for scheduled downtime**

    + **Collaborate with crews to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues**

    + **Maintain records, update prints/manuals/diagrams, and generate reports**

    + **Recommend solutions to prevent recurring problems**

    + **Assist in training electricians as needed**

    Essential Skills

    + **Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance electrician experience**

    + **Proficient in PLC programming and troubleshooting**

    + **Preventive maintenance experience on computers and microprocessors**

    + **Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including 3-phase systems**

    + **Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and general repair/maintenance**

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + **Heavy experience with PLC intercommunication and data networking**

    + **Skilled in troubleshooting VFDs and PLCs**

    + **Ability to diagnose and repair PLCs**

    + **Welding and blueprint interpretation experience**

    + **Own tools preferred but not required**

    + **Can be very hot in summer due to machinery and weather**

    + **Maintenance team of 10; total site team of 50**

    + **Shift flexibility required (potential off-shift hours)**

    + **Fast-paced environment with varying temperature conditions**

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $57.65 - $62.10/hr.
