Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the overhaul, repair, and testing of high-speed production equipment, including ovens, packaging machines, mixers, cartoners, baggers, and stuffers throughout the facility. You will read, understand, use, and update shop prints and specifications and refer to manufacturer’s manuals for servicing and installing equipment and distribution systems. You will determine manpower and material requirements, the means and methods to accomplish work assignments, and recommend changes. Additionally, you will prepare and paint surfaces while maintaining cleanliness in work areas, use tools and test equipment, maintain spare parts inventory, and order parts as necessary.

Responsibilities

+ Coordinate with maintenance supervision when locking and tagging systems.

+ Observe safety standards and practices.

+ Observe and assist outside contractors for compliance with company standards.

+ Train new hires and transfers regarding proper maintenance and safety standards.

Essential Skills

+ 2-5 years of experience with drive trains including belts, pulleys, sprockets, and chain.

+ Basic electrical knowledge, including 110 single phase and 480 & 230 V 3 phase.

+ Fabrication skills such as welding, grinding, and assembly.

+ Mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.

+ Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, PLCs, welding, and drive trains.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with motors and mechanical maintenance.

+ Strong understanding of mechanical troubleshooting and fabrication.

Work Environment

This role is based in a large food manufacturing facility that produces well-known snack brands. The facility consists of two buildings: one with equipment updated from the 1980s and the other with equipment updated from the 2000s. The work environment is fast-paced and requires adherence to safety standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Troy, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $66000.00 - $70000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Troy,OH.
