Job Title: Production Technician

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Production Technician, where you will be instrumental in the assembly and production of gas fireplaces. This role involves using small hand tools and light power tools to construct sub-assemblies, assemblies, and finished products. You will also engage in the out-box packaging process and operate production equipment such as flat wash and presses. This position requires working efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment throughout the entire shift.

Responsibilities

+ Assemble sub-assemblies, assemblies, and finished products using hand and power tools.

+ Perform out-box packaging process for finished products.

+ Operate production equipment, including flat wash and presses.

+ Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly workstation according to 6S standards.

+ Ensure accountability for the quality of assembled products.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to learn and work at a fast pace.

+ Proficient in reading and comprehending standard work instructions.

+ Effective communication skills in English.

+ Minimum of one year recent experience in a fast-paced environment.

+ Minimum of one year experience using hand or power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.

+ Ability to stand on feet for at least ten hours per day.

+ Experience verified by references.

Work Environment

The work environment is an industrial manufacturing setting with a focus on safety and quality. Employees work in project teams of 15-25 people, within a workforce of 350. The dress code includes jeans, t-shirts, and steel-toe footwear. The factory experiences temperature fluctuations, with warmer conditions in the summer and cooler conditions in the winter. Shifts are available in two schedules: 1st shift from 6:00am to 4:30pm (Monday through Thursday) and 2nd shift from 5:00pm to 3:30am (Monday through Thursday).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake City, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $22.00/hr.
