Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to efficiently operate various CNC machine tools, including both horizontal and vertical mills. The role requires setting up and running multiple machines simultaneously while ensuring the production of high-quality parts.

Responsibilities

+ Operate various CNC machine tools, including horizontal and vertical mills, and perform some setup tasks.

+ Keep CNC machine tools running efficiently and check the quality of parts being produced.

+ Adjust offsets and locations as needed, and change inserts and cutting tools when necessary.

+ Gain full knowledge and understanding of speeds, feeds, and surface call-outs for various machined parts.

+ Adhere to and follow company safety procedures and operate all machinery safely.

+ Maintain cleanliness in and around the machines and ensure proper fluid levels.

Essential Skills

+ 1 year of machining experience or trade school training.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Proficient in using common machine shop measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.

+ Knowledge of machine shop practices.

+ Ability to communicate machining errors and corrective actions clearly and timely.

+ Ability to lift approximately up to 35 pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with CNC machines, mills, and lathes.

+ Familiarity with HAAS and Okumas machine brands.

Work Environment

The position is based in a machine shop environment with multiple stations. You will be working with advanced equipment, including HAAS and Okumas machines.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Riverside, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
