    Job Title: Incoming Quality Inspector

    Job Description

    The Associate Incoming Inspection Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of incoming inventory. This position involves assisting in the receipt and initial quality inspection of inventory, working closely with the Incoming Materials Inspection team to uphold the highest standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform mechanical inspection for defects.

    + Work within established inspection criteria and sample plan for incoming materials.

    + Test electrical and data cables.

    + Document and maintain first article archive.

    + Inspect and evaluate first-articles.

    + Record non-conforming materials.

    + Report inspection findings and vendor source information to team members.

    + Present quality status to team members.

    + Participate in the MRB Program.

    + Advocate for all site safety rules and regulations.

    + Physical attendance is required, with extended hours and occasional weekend work.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ years of Quality Control experience.

    + Demonstrated ability to meet and maintain high quality standards for incoming materials.

    + Experience with simple mechanical inspection.

    + Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.

    + Experience with measurement and inspection tools.

    + Proficient with MS Office.

    + Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds at least 40 feet.

    + Strong work ethic.

    + Ability to type a minimum of 25 to 30 WPM.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    + Accuracy and attention to detail.

    + Ability to self-organize workloads and manage deadlines.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Six Sigma and MIL standards for quality control is a plus.

    + Ability to multi-task and manage various project-related duties.

    Work Environment

     

    The company is an electronic telecommunications manufacturing firm that supplies products to the US Military. The work environment is clean and consists of smaller electronics manufacturing areas with numerous small work stations. The role involves moving between the receiving area (warehouse) and an individual work station/bench.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PORTLAND, Oregon.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
