Job Title: Custodial Maintenance Specialist
Job Description
Under general supervision, the Custodial Maintenance Specialist will clean and maintain designated areas in office buildings and related work and storage areas. Successful completion of the duties of this position contributes to the attractiveness, safety, and functionality of the facility. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens with the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
Responsibilities
+ Keep commercial and institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition.
+ Maintain an adequate inventory of hygiene and cleaning supplies to meet routine requirements.
+ Operate floor cleaning and other cleaning equipment to trash, sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, clean, wash, wax, and buff offices, hallways, storage/warehouse areas, restrooms, windows, kitchen areas, and associated spaces.
+ Sweep, mop, clean, and/or scrub walls, passenger elevators, glass, fixtures, and stairs.
+ Dust woodwork and furniture.
+ Maintain and re-supply restrooms and perform routine restroom checks.
+ Remove and empty trash and garbage containers and deliver collected refuse to the loading dock.
+ Shampoo carpets, strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
+ Clean and sweep shop areas.
+ Clean snow and debris from building entrances.
+ Comprehend written and oral instructions.
+ Monitor building for maintenance, safety, and security issues and report any violations to immediate Supervisor or Management.
+ Adhere to safety practices and procedures.
+ Perform other job-related duties as required.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, janitorial, and environmental services.
+ Proficient in mopping, sweeping, and operating cleaning equipment.
+ Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.
+ Must have a secret clearance.
+ Experience in maintaining hygiene and cleaning supply inventory.
+ Ability to monitor building for maintenance, safety, and security issues.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.77 - $21.77/hr.
