    Job Title: Construction Laborer - Saratoga, NY

    Job Description

    We are seeking dedicated Construction Laborers to join our team in supporting daily operations for new commercial construction projects in the Saratoga region. The successful candidates will perform essential tasks such as worksite cleanup, material staging, and assisting carpenters. This role offers the potential for direct hire after the season.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris and setting up materials.

    + Load, unload, and transport construction materials to designated areas.

    + Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

    + Support carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with tasks such as framing, drywall installation, and concrete work.

    + Perform digging, leveling, and grading for foundations and landscaping.

    + Install and maintain temporary structures, such as scaffolding and safety barriers.

    + Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean, hazard-free work environment.

    + Assist in final site cleanup and preparation for inspections.

    Essential Skills

    + 6 months to 1 year of experience in commercial, residential, or roofing as a laborer or carpenter's helper.

    + Basic carpentry hand tools.

    + Reliable transportation.

    + Knowledge of job site safety.

    + Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Previous experience in construction or manual labor in landscaping, roofing, industrial manufacturing, or maintenance.

    + Basic knowledge of construction tools and techniques.

    + Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills.

    + Ability to learn and take direction from supervisors.

    + Ability to travel to multiple job sites per day.

    + OSHA 10 certification is preferred.

    Work Environment

     

    Candidates will report to the worksite or shop depending on the day, starting at 6:45 am, ready to work by 7:00 am. The work involves independent tasks and collaboration in small crews, with field hours from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Overtime may be required during weekdays and occasionally on weekends. Be prepared to work in all weather conditions on new construction projects.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saratoga Springs, New York.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
