Job Title: Driver/Shop Helper

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Driver/Shop Helper to join our team. This role involves loading and unloading deliveries, organizing materials in the shop, and delivering products to clients. You will spend approximately 60% of your time driving a transit van, with the remainder of your time in the shop learning about saw operation and product cleaning.

Responsibilities

+ Load and unload deliveries at the shop.

+ Organize and put away materials.

+ Deliver products to clients, primarily repeat customers.

+ Operate a transit van for delivery purposes.

+ Learn and assist with saw operation and product cleaning.

+ Prepare blades for delivery.

+ Ensure timely and safe delivery to locations such as Port Huron, Luddington, or South Bend.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 2 years driving/delivery experience.

+ Experience with companies like UPS or Amazon is beneficial.

+ Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

+ Maintain a clean driving record with no more than 3 points.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Customer service skills.

+ Experience in loading and unloading goods.

+ Familiarity with saw operation and transportation logistics.

Work Environment

The role involves significant time on the road, with work hours from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. The shop environment is clean but not temperature controlled. Dress comfortably for both driving and shop tasks.

This is a Permanent position based out of Canton, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $39520.00/yr.
