    Job Title: Core Welder

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Core Welder to join our team. This role involves welding and fabricating custom parts, primarily pressure vessels, for applications in shipyards and the boating industry. A strong understanding of blueprints, jig work, and proficiency with Mig and Flux welding techniques are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in cutting parts and metals and will be expected to perform their own prep work. A weld test will be required to ensure candidates meet the high standards necessary for this position.

    Responsibilities

    + Weld and fabricate custom parts, including pressure vessels, using Mig and Flux techniques.

    + Interpret and work from blueprints and jigs.

    + Perform own prep work in a small machine shop environment.

    + Ensure all welds are leak-free and meet quality standards.

    + Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive work culture.

    Essential Skills

    + 1-3 years of welding experience with Flux Core.

    + 1-2 years of blueprint reading experience.

    + Proficiency in Mig and Flux welding techniques.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with cutting parts and metals.

    + Understanding of jig work is a major plus.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a small machine shop setting, with a 1st shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 6 AM to 4:30 PM. Fridays may be required for overtime when available. The role requires a good attitude and ownership of work, with steel-toe boots and safety glasses as part of the dress code.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of GREENCASTLE, Pennsylvania.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
