Job Description

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as General Production Workers. In this role, you will operate industrial sewing machines to manufacture medical device parts. You will receive comprehensive training and mentorship to ensure your success in meeting production goals and maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities

+ Operate industrial sewing machines to manufacture medical device parts.

+ Participate in a week-long training class to learn sewing machine operations.

+ Work alongside a mentor to learn the production process on the floor.

+ Set up sewing machines with the correct thread.

+ Increase production count to the expected output level within 13 weeks.

+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

+ Sit for extended periods to operate sewing machines.

+ Seek assistance for any issues with sewing machines.

+ Ensure products meet quality standards.

Work Environment

Our facility is a Contract Manufacturing Medical Device Company that has seen a 30% growth over the last year. We employ 800 people at our St. Charles location, and our production floor is equipped with 75% industrial sewing machines. The environment is clean and adheres to GMP standards, requiring hair nets and beard nets when applicable. Note that the production floor is not climate-controlled, and it can get hot during summer months, but fans are provided throughout the area. We are proud of our diverse workforce, with over 5-6 languages spoken. We offer two shifts: 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm (with options to start earlier and work voluntary overtime on Saturdays) and 2nd shift from 3:00pm to 11:30pm (with options for extended hours and voluntary Saturday work).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Charles, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
