Job Description
As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in the handling and movement of structural steel beams using an overhead crane. Your primary responsibilities will include lifting, moving, and positioning loads safely, ensuring they are securely attached and within lifting limits. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and proper functioning of the crane, tracking inventory within your bay, and loading structural steel beams onto semi-trucks according to order sheets.
Responsibilities
+ Operate an overhead crane to lift, move, and position loads safely.
+ Ensure loads are securely attached and within lifting limits.
+ Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the crane.
+ Track inventory within your assigned bay.
+ Load structural steel beams onto semi-truck beds based on order sheets.
Essential Skills
+ Experience operating equipment in a warehouse environment, such as forklifts or electric pallet jacks.
+ Prior experience operating an overhead crane is highly desirable.
+ Proficiency in material handling and order picking.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 6+ months operating a forklift (sit-down, stand-up, or high reach).
+ 6+ months operating heavy equipment.
+ 6+ months of general warehouse experience.
+ Experience with RF scanners and other heavy equipment operation is a plus.

Work Environment
The work environment is a metal distribution center that is not temperature controlled, meaning the indoor temperature reflects outdoor conditions due to frequent truck traffic. The facility is kept relatively clean. The team size is small, consisting of 2-3 people. Work shifts are available from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM for the first shift and 4:00 PM - 11:30 PM for the second shift. The dress code requires steel-toed boots, jeans, and a work shirt.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, Nebraska.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
