Job Title: QA Inspector

Job Description

Join a leading manufacturer in the medical device industry. We are seeking a dedicated QA Inspector to ensure the highest quality standards of our products. You will play a critical role in inspecting small manufactured devices, performing dimensional inspections, and conducting thorough testing processes.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct dimensional inspection of small devices using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

+ Perform wiring and small screw inspections.

+ Conduct small electrical tests for device calibration.

+ Inspect received parts and the boxes they arrive in.

+ Test a certain number of devices from each product batch, performing detailed and methodical testing.

+ Log inspection results in a computer system and report any quality errors.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of quality control inspection experience.

+ Proficient use of micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

+ Strong computer skills.

+ Excellent documentation skills.

+ Detail-oriented with the ability to read blueprints.

+ Experience in quality assurance and quality control within the medical device industry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Extensive experience in medical device inspection.

+ Proficiency with small measuring tools.

+ Ability to work independently on projects for extended periods.

+ Great documentation skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment

Work in a modern office-like building with manufacturing on the 5th floor and QA on the 1st floor. The environment is air-conditioned, resembling a doctor's office. You will work alongside four other QA technicians on the day shift, with occasional interactions with S&R personnel. Coordinate with production workers and supervisors located on the 5th floor. Dress code includes soft-toed shoes, pants, and a collared or professional shirt. Initial work schedule is Mon-Fri, 8:00am - 5:00pm during training, transitioning to Mon-Thu, 6:00am - 5:00pm post-training, averaging 40-45 hours per week.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
