Job Title: Automation EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer with a strong background in automation and robotics. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or automation engineering, along with at least two years of experience in automation and/or robotics. This role involves designing, documenting, testing, installing, supporting, and improving automated machines or processes.
Responsibilities
+ Design, document, and test automated machines or processes.
+ Install, support, and improve automated systems.
+ Perform preventive maintenance on automated machines.
+ Troubleshoot issues with automated equipment.
+ Identify and implement areas for continuous improvement.
+ Build and test designs using hand tools.
+ Work collaboratively in a team atmosphere.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or automation engineering.
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in automation and/or robotics.
+ Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software.
+ Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
+ Experience with robotic programming and PLC programming.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Allen-Bradley systems.
+ Skills in electrical design and installation.
+ Capability to climb ladders and work around machinery.
+ Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 60 lbs.
Work Environment
The work schedule begins at 7:30 AM with a 40-hour work week. This position requires travel. The role is physically demanding, involving activities such as climbing ladders and working in and around machinery during installation. The use of hand tools and the ability to lift and move objects up to 60 lbs are essential.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Ankeny, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00/hr.
