Job Title: Energy Advisor
Job Description
This position is responsible for traveling to pre-scheduled appointments to install energy-efficient equipment and products. Services are targeted to the multi-family, commercial, and industrial markets, including building owners, management companies, small business owners, and trade allies/contractors. The role involves introducing and explaining various incentive programs that pertain to these customer sectors.
Responsibilities
+ Perform all required duties to install energy-efficient equipment and products.
+ Install all energy efficiency equipment according to proper procedures.
+ Travel daily to pre-scheduled appointments.
+ Provide a professional appearance appropriate for representing the organization and the client.
+ Ensure customer specifications and company quality standards are met.
+ Complete special projects as assigned.
+ Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, and documents.
+ Develop a comprehensive understanding of the program’s strategic direction regarding energy efficiency.
+ Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
+ Install energy-efficient equipment including aerators, showerheads, and compact fluorescent lights.
+ Apply insulating and/or sealing material to exterior penetrations, window and door gaps, attic floor penetrations, attic doors, and box sills.
+ Work in a team atmosphere to collaborate and continuously improve operations.
+ Occasionally travel on weekends to accommodate customer needs.
+ Conduct inventory counts and submit inventory reports as requested.
+ Assist with the cleanliness and organization of warehouse locations and fleet vehicle parking areas.
Essential Skills
+ Installation experience
+ Customer service skills
+ Mechanical aptitude
+ High School diploma or equivalent
+ 1-3 years of experience in basic wiring, lighting, HVAC, troubleshooting, or related technologies
+ 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience
+ Mechanical and technical aptitude
+ Valid driver's license and own vehicle
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in the electric or natural gas utility industry, facilities management, HVAC design or sales, commercial and industrial lighting, conservation and energy management
+ Previous energy efficiency and/or energy modeling experience
+ Technical school degree or equivalent experience
+ Background in building science and design, building envelope, weatherization, building maintenance, home inspection, HVAC, lighting, controls, or renewable energy
Work Environment
The role involves entering businesses to install energy-efficient equipment and products. Work is conducted in teams of two, typically Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, based on appointments. The position requires 50% travel, with the remaining time spent in the office. There is some potential for overnight stays, as travel around northern Colorado (Fort Collins, Longmont, Estes Park) is required.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pueblo, Colorado.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.16/hr.
