We’re seeking a Process Engineer to support a global chemical manufacturer known for its innovation in rubber additives, chlorine tablets, and oil additives—products developed through strategic partnerships with other industry leaders.

    About the Role

This is a project-based consulting role focused on refining manufacturing processes and driving safety initiatives across multiple product lines, including rubber, utilities, chlorine tablets, and oil additives. You’ll be juggling multiple projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance in operations.

    Key Responsibilities

+ Develop and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve safety and efficiency.

+ Partner with operations, production, and safety teams to identify and resolve process gaps.

+ Conduct field visits to evaluate P&ID diagrams and translate findings into technical documentation.

+ Lead safety process improvements, including Lockout Tagout procedures.

+ Review Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), equipment, and historical processes to identify risks and recommend solutions.

+ Facilitate cross-functional communication to align teams and ensure expectations are clearly defined.

    What You Bring

+ Experience in the chemical industry, ideally in a plant or manufacturing setting.

+ Ability to read and interpret P&ID documents.

+ Strong skills in technical writing and SOP development.

+ Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

    Preferred Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Chemical Engineering.

+ Experience in oil & gas or consumer products industries.

+ 1–2 years of relevant industry experience or co-op/internship experience.

    Work Environment

+ Hybrid setting: split between field/plant visits and corporate office work.

+ Standard 40-hour workweek, with flexibility (e.g., 35 hours one week, made up the next).

    + Business casual dress code.

    Why This Role Stands Out

This manufacturer was recently awarded a Gold EcoVadis Sustainability Rating, placing them in the top 3% of chemical manufacturers globally across four key areas: environment, labor & human rights, ethics, and sustainable improvement. Their commitment to sustainability and innovation is a driving force behind ongoing R&D and strategic partnerships.
